Mike can once again have his favorite bubbly beverage...Coke! He was so good during lent and didn't break down once. It really does make it so sweet when you can finally have something you have denied yourself for so long. We walked into church this morning and the statues were all unveiled and the cross was visible, lilies were everywhere! It was beautiful! The same principal was at work. We had been denied their beauty for so long and to finally see the church all decorated again was amazing!
We had a great Easter morning. We went through baskets, hunted eggs and enjoyed breakfast. We left 45 minutes before mass would begin in order to get a seat. It worked! We sat up front where we usually sit. After mass we all went to Red lobster for lunch. We had done that last Easter and the kids really wanted to do it again. We hadn't eaten at one since then so it was a real treat! Noah got crab legs, steak and shrimp scampi! He's a growing boy! :-)
We returned home and took photos of the kids and all of us in our Easter clothes. Noah was not thrilled. I'm afraid we are having a little on set of adolescent hormones. He has been so hard to please lately. Nothing all that bad, mind you, just a subtle change that I am noticing.
Nathan went down for an hour nap and the kids have been playing outside for hours. Mike has been working in the yard, fixing the wood border around the play set. It was a death trap and needed to be fixed.
Well, that's the day so far. Here are the photos...

| Again cracking up! |

So true about denying ourselves in all respects and then having it again! Our church was strikingly beautiful...our Eucharistic adoration chapel brought me to tears.
ReplyDeleteSo the kids are so adorable!! I love the picture of Nathan and his basket. He looks so sleepy and cute in that one. Noah is definitely getting taller and growing up. I guess he is coming up on 12!
